Lazy Dog

“Lazy dog” has been a term used to describe someone who does not pull their weight, someone that is not productive, or not doing the task they are responsible for.  I have often yelled at Catfish or Jon Boy, “get out of bed ya lazy dog, there’s work to be done”.  This was usually followed by lots grumbling and complaining.  I have used this term to negatively describe people around me for years.

But when faced with an actual example at the 40 acre woods, I may need to re-think the “lazy dog” description.

Anna seems to embrace the concept of “lazy dog” while enjoying a sunny spot under the oak tree.  Kind of like getting a cool glass of iced tea on a hot day, a well deserved break.

I think I may ponder this new way of thinking while swinging in my hammock.
